The Frax 1550 delivers energy deeper into the dermis, making it especially effective for smoothing texture, softening fine lines and wrinkles, and improving the appearance of acne scars, surgical scars, and stretch marks. The Frax 1940 targets the more superficial layers of skin and is particularly well-suited for treating sun-induced pigmentation, age spots, and other benign pigmented lesions.

Both handpieces work by delivering microscopic treatment zones of laser energy into the skin without ablating or cutting the surface, leaving the surrounding tissue intact. This causes the skin to repair itself by removing damaged skin cells and stimulating new collagen and healthy skin cells, resulting in smoother, more even-toned skin over a series of treatments.
